Nirina Ralantoaritsimba will join us this evening to talk about her life in San Diego and the results of her thesis: her first novel called Nous Sommes les Ancêtres de Ceux qui Ne Sont Pas Encore Nés which is about the journeys of two Californian women.
Nirina is a linguist with a PhD in French literature. She taught French in the suburbs of Paris, in the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes and in the Sorbonne branch in Abu Dhabi.
Her thesis that led to her novel was based on journals written by some of the French who went to California during the gold rush.
Totally dedicated to her artistic creativity, Nirina uses a broad range of mediums: calligraphy, painting, drawing, cinema, music, meditation, and writing. Join us this evening to find out more.
